Nightlife, Student life, Pubs, Clubs and Restaurants

Uphill Lincoln hosts the more traditional pubs and restaurants, embracing the historical, scenic surroundings. This area is perfect for a quiet drink and bite to eat. The uphill restaurants are amongst the more expensive, however, quality is outstanding. You can find mouth-watering, traditional English dishes as well as a variety of international restaurants, including; Brazilian, Mexican and Italian. Many of the traditional pubs also serve food throughout the day and are a cheaper option, ideal for a Sunday roast dinner.

As you go further down hill, into the city centre, you will find a variety of bars, most of which offer deals on food, especially for students. It is here, and along the Brayford water front where you will find most clubs. Club nights within the city are varied, all are discounted with a valid NUS card. There is a growing music scene and live music can be found in bars and venues across the city. Most clubs have resident DJs and special club nights on a Friday and Saturday. There are also student nights at various bars throughout the week. A few alternative nights and bars can also be found within and around the centre. Lincoln nightlife has been greatly improved since the development of the University, encouraging more exciting events and nights throughout the city.

Along the water front, quite close to the University, there is a vibrant nightlife as well as a host of restaurants. You can choose from a variety of European, Indian and Mexican foods. There is also a large American restaurant specialising in burgers. The Brayford is an ideal, relaxing place to eat or drink for students, locals and visitors.
